Indoor climbing spaces are particularly vulnerable to overheating and poor air quality due to the physical activity, high ceilings, and use of chalk. Climbers at this facility had endured uncomfortable summer temperatures and significant dust build-up, both of which affected performance and overall experience. We designed, supplied, and installed a ventilation and cooling system to create a safer, more comfortable environment.

Challenge
The climbing centre faced two key issues: high internal temperatures during summer months and excessive dust levels from chalk use. Overheating can impact athlete performance and safety, while dust accumulation reduces air quality and creates an unpleasant environment for visitors and staff alike. The centre needed a solution that addressed both concerns without compromising energy efficiency.

Solution
Following our standard process, we delivered a tailored installation to tackle both heat and dust control:

  1. Consultation & Assessment: A site survey was carried out to assess heat gain, airflow, and dust levels.

  2. Proposal: We designed a solution that prioritised both cooling and air quality, while ensuring compliance with workplace safety standards.

  3. Installation & Commissioning: Our engineers installed 2 wall extractor units to remove heat and airborne chalk, and 2 Breezair evaporative coolers to provide efficient temperature control and fresh air replacement. The system was balanced to ensure consistent airflow throughout the facility.

Result
Temperatures have been significantly reduced since the installation, creating a more comfortable climbing environment even during peak summer heat. Dust levels have also decreased, improving air quality and enhancing the overall experience for climbers and staff. The centre now benefits from a safer, cleaner, and energy-efficient system designed to meet its unique demands.

A busy engineering facility was struggling with high internal temperatures, affecting both staff comfort and productivity. Having already completed two successful projects for this client, our team was once again trusted to design, supply, and install an expanded cooling and ventilation system to meet the demands of their growing operation.

Challenge
Like many industrial facilities, Gripple’s engineering site faced challenges from rising summer temperatures. Sustained heat build-up not only reduced comfort for staff but also threatened to impact efficiency and day-to-day output. As this was the third project we had delivered for the client, the solution needed to integrate seamlessly with their existing systems while delivering greater cooling capacity.

Solution
Using our proven approach, we delivered a tailored system that strengthened the site’s existing setup:

  1. Consultation & Assessment: We revisited the facility to assess how the existing ventilation performed, and identified areas where additional capacity was required.

  2. Proposal: A solution was developed to expand and complement the current system while ensuring compliance with workplace regulations and energy efficiency targets.

  3. Installation & Commissioning: Our engineers installed 2 roof extractor units to boost heat removal alongside the existing units, as well as 5 Breezair evaporative coolers to deliver fresh air replacement and efficient temperature control.

Result
Internal temperatures have been significantly reduced, creating a more comfortable and productive environment across the engineering facility. The expanded system worked seamlessly with the existing setup, ensuring balanced airflow and reliable cooling. High production demands at a busy manufacturing site meant internal temperatures regularly rose to uncomfortable levels, particularly during the summer months. On the production line, this created challenges for both staff and machinery efficiency. We designed, supplied, and installed a large-scale ventilation and cooling system to bring temperatures under control and create a safer, more productive working environment.

Challenge
The facility needed a reliable solution to address consistently high temperatures on its production line. A busy industrial printing facility faced significant challenges maintaining a comfortable and safe working environment during the summer months. Internal temperatures previously reached nearly 40°C, impacting staff wellbeing and production efficiency. Our team designed, supplied, and installed a tailored cooling solution to stabilise temperatures, enhance airflow, and ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations.

Challenge
Excessive heat in industrial and commercial environments can reduce productivity and increase the risk of accidents. At 24°C, productivity can drop by 10%, and above this, accident likelihood rises by 23%. The facility needed a reliable cooling and ventilation solution to protect staff, maintain operational efficiency, and safeguard sensitive printing processes during extreme heat conditions.

Solution
We applied our proven three-step process to deliver a comprehensive, efficient, and compliant system:

  1. Consultation & Assessment: The client reached out via our contact form to discuss their needs. We conducted an on-site assessment, measuring airflow, temperature, and heat gain, and evaluated any fume risks.
